Sponsor a competition
Your money becomes the prize for a real contest. Your name goes on the contest page, the winner is chosen by score alone, and every payout is published.
How it works
- 1
You choose
The prize pool of one contest, the first prize of the headline round, or entry for students who cannot buy coins.
- 2
We run it
Paper, timing, marking and verification are all ovoy's. Sponsors have no hand in choosing the winner, which is what makes the result unarguable.
- 3
The payout is published
Who won, how much, and when it was paid, listed on the winners page next to the sponsor's name. You get a receipt.
I want to sponsor
Tell us what you would like to fund and how to reach you. A person replies within two days.
Online collection is not switched on yet. Use this form to tell us your intent, and do not send money. We will get in touch with the account details, and send a receipt once the money arrives.
What a sponsor gets
- Your name, or your organisation's, on the contest page, the leaderboard and the winners' certificates, if you want it there.
- The published record of every prize paid, and a receipt for you.
- A short report when the contest closes: how many sat it, from which districts, who won.
- A conversation with the winners, if they agree. For many sponsors this is the part that matters.
Our rules
- Every taka given for a prize is paid out as a prize. Running costs are separate, and when we ask for those we say so.
- Sponsors do not see the paper, do not pick the winner, and never receive a student's contact details.
- A prize never passes through an intermediary. A representative verifies the winner in person, and then it is paid.
- Your name is published only with your consent, and only after the money has arrived, never before.
A competition prize is a gift to the winner, not Zakat, so this page does not take Zakat. If you want to give Zakat, write to us on the contact page. Get in touch
